All staff at the University of Southampton are invited to attend one of the following Open Meetings:

• Open Meeting, Wednesday 11 November 2026, 1-2pm, on Teams (requires UoS login).
• Open Meeting, Thursday 12 November 2026, 1-2pm, on Teams (requires UoS login).

The meetings are convened by UCU, Unison and Unite, but are open to all staff, including those who are not union members. The purpose of the meetings is to discuss the University’s financial situation, to hear your concerns, to try to answer your questions, and to explain what the campus trade unions (UCU, Unison and Unite) are doing to advocate for staff and to project jobs. We will also explain the importance of joining a campus trade union.

(If you have already attended a UCU Open Meeting this term, you are welcome to attend the meetings on 11 and 12 November, but please note that they will cover substantially the same material covered in earlier meetings.)
